This is an English translation of our privacy policy in Spanish (zaiwebs.com/privacidad). If the two versions differ, the Spanish one prevails.
Zaiwebs is a small studio, and this website has no database or user accounts. Almost everything below comes down to one sentence: nothing of yours is stored here, except what you choose to write to us yourself.
What is collected when you write to us
If you use the contact form, what you type is not sent to any server of this website. The form builds a message and opens WhatsApp with the text already filled in: you send it yourself, from your own account, and the conversation stays in your WhatsApp like any other. The same goes for email.
From then on, what we receive is what you wrote: your name, how to reach you and what you tell us about the project. We use it to reply and put together a proposal, and for nothing else. It isn’t sold, it isn’t shared and it doesn’t feed any mailing list.
If you use the chat with Zai
When it’s active, the website shows a virtual assistant, Zai, which answers questions about our services using artificial intelligence. What you write in that chat goes through our server and is sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model, to generate each reply.
We keep chats with Zai for 90 days, to improve its answers and learn what people ask. Before they are stored, emails, phone numbers and ID numbers are automatically removed, and your IP address is not stored: each chat is linked to a random code that doesn’t say who you are. After 90 days they are deleted automatically.
To prevent abuse, the server also counts how many messages arrive per hour using an encrypted identifier of your connection, which changes every day and is deleted after 24 hours.
If you wrote something you’d like us to delete sooner, email us at contacto@zaiwebs.com with the approximate date and what you talked about.
Zai is an AI and can make mistakes. For that reason, and because there’s no need, don’t share sensitive information in the chat, such as health information, ID documents, passwords or banking details. To tell us about your project in detail, use WhatsApp.
What is measured about your visit
The website uses Umami to find out whether it’s useful to anyone. It records the pages viewed, which site you came from, your approximate country, your type of device and whether you tapped one of the contact buttons or opened the chat with Zai.
It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store your IP address and doesn’t build a profile of you: these are aggregate numbers, with no way of tracing them back to a person. That’s also why this website doesn’t show you a consent banner — there’s nothing to consent to.
That data is kept for six months and then deleted automatically.
Who else is involved
These services see part of your visit, and it’s worth saying so:
- Umami, which receives the statistics described above.
- Google Fonts, which delivers the website’s fonts and receives your IP address in that request, as happens with any file a browser downloads from another server.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to write to us there. That conversation is governed by WhatsApp’s terms, not by this website’s.
- Anthropic, if you use the chat with Zai: it receives the messages of that chat to generate the replies.
Beyond that, there is no advertising, no social media pixels and no other tracker.
How long it’s kept
Statistics, six months. Chats with Zai, 90 days. WhatsApp conversations and emails, for as long as the project is active or there’s a reason to keep them, such as a pending proposal or an accounting obligation.
How to ask for deletion
Write to contacto@zaiwebs.com and ask. You don’t need to explain why or fill in any form. You can also ask us what we have stored about you, or to correct anything that’s wrong.
If this changes
If the website ever adds a tool that collects data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. There are no email notices because there’s no mailing list to notify.
